Consequences of Major and Minor Shirk

Major Shirk

Eternal (never-ending) punishment in the Hellfire. This means permanent Hellfire if someone dies upon major shirk with Allah (or engages in actions which nullify one's Islam completely) without valid repentance before death.

Minor Shirk

If someone dies upon lesser shirk without valid repentance, then Hellfire is guaranteed according to the most correct opinions based on general verses and Hadith, but the person will not remain in Hellfire forever, unlike a mushrik-kafir.

Sins Less Than Major or Minor Shirk

As for sins less than major or minor shirk, it is under Allah's will. If Allah wills, He will forgive the servant; and if Allah wills, He will punish the servant in Hellfire for as long as He wishes, but the person will not remain in Hellfire forever.

Oppression Against Others (Second Type of Zulm)

Regarding sins committed by servants against other servants, meaning one Muslim or human oppressing another, Allah will not leave such acts unaccounted. However, a Muslim who commits such oppression will not remain in Hellfire forever. This is called the second type of zulm (oppression or injustice against Allah's creation), which is unavoidable. If the oppressed person does not forgive, then the oppressor will be punished in Hellfire, but will not remain there forever.

Sins Against Oneself (Third Type of Zulm)

The third type of zulm involves sins against oneself, which are between Allah and the servant alone, such as neglecting prayers, fasting, watching haram at night, or other sins that are personal acts of disobedience to Allah. These sins are forgivable. Such a person should continuously make istighfar (seek forgiveness) and ask Allah for pardon, even if the person commits sins daily knowingly.

Greatest Zulm (First Type of Zulm)

The first type of zulm, which is the greatest zulm, consists of sins against Allah. This is major shirk or general shirk, as explained at the beginning.
